I seek refuge in the perfect…

Recite the following words three times in the evening:

اَعُوْذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللّٰهِ التَّآمَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah the Most High from the evil of what He has created.

1. Sahih Muslim, no. (2709), Sunan Ibn Majah, no. (3518), Sunan at-Tirmidhi, ed. Dr Bashshar (5/555) no. (3604 m1), where it has “three times”, and al-Albani graded it Sahih in “Sahih at-Targhib” (1/412).

   Its virtue is stated in this hadith: whoever says these words three times in the evening, nothing poisonous will harm him that night.
