Dua 16
Weak narrationRecite these words three times:
رَضِيْتُ بِاللّٰهِ رَبًّا وَّبِالْاِسْلَامِ دِيْنًا وَّبِمُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيًّا
I am pleased with Allah as (my) Lord, with Islam as (my) religion and with Muhammad () as (my) Prophet.
Da'eef, Sunan at-Tirmidhi, no. (3389), from the hadith of Thawban, the wording is his, and al-Albani graded it Da'eef in “ad-Da'ifah” no. (5020); Sunan Abi Dawud, no. (5072), from the hadith of a man who served the Prophet , and al-Albani graded it Da'eef in “ad-Da'ifah” no. (5020).
This hadith also says: whoever says it three times in the morning and evening, it will be a duty upon Allah to be pleased with him on the Day of Resurrection.
Some have called the hadith of Sunan Abi Dawud, no. (5072), Hasan, although in its chain there is “Sabiq bin Najiyah”, for whom there is no reliable and explicit authentication, and Imam adh-Dhahabi said that only one narrator narrated from him (Mizan al-I'tidal: 2/109). The identity of such a narrator is also regarded as unknown, which is why Allamah al-Albani (RH) called him majhul al-'ayn (ad-Da'ifah 11/30). So there is no room to make him “hasan in hadith” with the support of authentications based on a mistake.
