Supplications of qunut in the witr

Dua 1

O Allah! Guide me (and include me) among those You have guided, grant me well-being (and include me) among those You have granted well-being, take me into Your care among those You have taken into Your care, bless me in what You have given, and protect me from the evil of what You have decreed. For You decide, and none can decide against Your (decision). Indeed, the one You befriend is never humbled, and the one You take as an enemy is never honoured. Our Lord! You are most blessed and most exalted.

  1. Sahih, Sunan at-Tirmidhi, no. (464), the wording is his, Sunan Abi Dawud, no. (1425), Sunan an-Nasa'i, no. (1746), Sunan Ibn Majah, no. (1178), as-Sunan al-Kubra of al-Bayhaqi, Indian edition (2/209), where the addition in square brackets is found, and al-Albani graded it Sahih in “Asl Sifat as-Salah” (3/973). The original book does not have “و” before “إنه”, and that is so in some narrations, but we have given the wording of at-Tirmidhi, which has the best and most complete context. See also: Asl Sifat as-Salah of al-Albani (3/973).

Dua 2

O Allah! I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your anger and in Your pardon from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot praise You fully; You are as You have praised Yourself.

Dua 3

O Allah! You alone we worship; for You alone we pray and prostrate; towards You alone we strive and hasten; we hope for Your mercy and we fear Your punishment; indeed, Your punishment will overtake the disbelievers. O Allah! Indeed, we seek Your help and Your forgiveness, we praise You, we are not ungrateful to You, we believe in You, we humble ourselves before You, and we separate ourselves from those who disbelieve in You.
