Dua 1
O Allah! Guide me (and include me) among those You have guided, grant me well-being (and include me) among those You have granted well-being, take me into Your care among those You have taken into Your care, bless me in what You have given, and protect me from the evil of what You have decreed. For You decide, and none can decide against Your (decision). Indeed, the one You befriend is never humbled, and the one You take as an enemy is never honoured. Our Lord! You are most blessed and most exalted.
Sahih, Sunan at-Tirmidhi, no. (464), the wording is his, Sunan Abi Dawud, no. (1425), Sunan an-Nasa'i, no. (1746), Sunan Ibn Majah, no. (1178), as-Sunan al-Kubra of al-Bayhaqi, Indian edition (2/209), where the addition in square brackets is found, and al-Albani graded it Sahih in “Asl Sifat as-Salah” (3/973). The original book does not have “و” before “إنه”, and that is so in some narrations, but we have given the wording of at-Tirmidhi, which has the best and most complete context. See also: Asl Sifat as-Salah of al-Albani (3/973).
