Dua 2
O Allah! Forgive our living and our dead, those of us present and those absent, our young and our old, our males and our females. O Allah! Whoever of us You keep alive, keep him alive upon Islam, and whoever of us You take in death, take him upon faith. O Allah! Do not deprive us of his (the deceased's) reward, and do not lead us astray after him.
Sahih, Sunan Abi Dawud, no. (3201), Sunan Ibn Majah, no. (1498), the wording is his, Sunan at-Tirmidhi, no. (1024), Sunan an-Nasa'i, no. (1986), as-Sunan al-Kubra of al-Bayhaqi, Indian edition (4/41), and al-Albani graded it Sahih in “Ahkam al-Jana'iz” (page 124).
In the chain of Sunan Abi Dawud, the objection to the 'an'anah of “Yahya bin Abi Kathir” is not correct, because he is free of tadlis. Some scholars used the word tadlis for him in the sense of irsal; he is by no means a real mudallis. For Allamah al-Albani's (RH) research on this see: [ar-Rawd ad-Dani, (page 165, 166)]; see also: [ad-Du'afa' of al-Uqayli, ed. Dr Mazin (6/395), and its chain is hasan, Tahdhib al-Kamal of al-Mizzi (10/78)].
The chain of Sunan Ibn Majah is also sahih, because Muhammad bin Ishaq stated clearly that he heard it in “Amali Muhammad bin Ibrahim al-Jurjani”, (Amali Muhammad bin Ibrahim al-Jurjani, q 175/a), and its chain is sahih, so the objection to the 'an'anah of Muhammad bin Ishaq is not correct.
