Supplication for placing children in Allah's protection

Dua 1

Allah's Messenger ﷺ would place al-Hasan and al-Husayn (RA) in Allah's protection with these words:

اُعِيْذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللّٰهِ التَّآمَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَّهَآمَّةٍ وَّمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَّآمَّةٍ

I place you both in the protection of the perfect words of Allah the Most High from every devil and every poisonous creature, and from every evil eye.

  1. Sahih al-Bukhari, no. (3371), Sunan Abi Dawud, no. (4737), Sunan at-Tirmidhi, no. (2060), the wording is that of the authors of the Sunan. Sunan Ibn Majah, no. (3525)

    Caution:- Some have attributed “اَعُوْذُ” to Sunan at-Tirmidhi, no. (2060) and “اُعِيْذُكُمَا” to Sahih al-Bukhari, no. (3371), whereas the matter is exactly the reverse.
