Supplications when leaving the house

Dua 1

(From this house) in the name of Allah (I go out). I have put my trust in Allah, and there is no strength to avoid sin nor power to do good except through Allah.

  1. Sahih, Sunan Abi Dawud, no. (5095), Sunan at-Tirmidhi, no. (3426), al-Mukhtarah of ad-Diya', no. (1540), where Ibn Jurayj states clearly that he heard it, and al-Albani graded it Sahih in “Takhrij al-Kalim at-Tayyib”, no. (59). The original book has “وَ” before “لَا حَوْلَ”, but it is not in the hadith.

Dua 2

O Allah! I seek refuge in You (from this): that I go astray or am led astray, that I slip or am made to slip, that I do wrong or am wronged, or that I behave foolishly towards someone or someone behaves foolishly towards me.
