Dua 1
O Allah! Lord of the seven heavens and all that they overshadow, Lord of the seven earths and all that they carry, Lord of the devils and all whom they lead astray, and Lord of the winds and all that they scatter! We ask You for the good of this town and the good of its people, and we seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of its people and the evil of (the things) that are in it.
The reciter says “as-aluka … wa a‘oodhu bika” (I ask … I seek refuge) instead of “fa innaa nas-aluka … wa na‘oodhu bika” (we ask … we seek refuge), and adds “wa khayra maa feehaa”.
Sahih, as-Sunan al-Kubra of an-Nasa'i, ed. al-Arna'ut, no. (8775), the wording is his, Sharh Mushkil al-Athar of at-Tahawi, no. (2529), al-Mustadrak of al-Hakim, Indian edition (1/446), and al-Albani graded it Sahih in “as-Sahihah” no. (2759).
Some of the wording in the author's book was not found by us in any route of this narration, so we have given the words of Imam an-Nasa'i, which is the most sahih narration on this.
