Dua 7
اَللّٰهُمَّ بِاسْمِكَ اَمُوْتُ وَاَحْيَا
O Allah! With Your name I die and I live.
Sahih al-Bukhari, no. (6314) and no. (6325), Sunan at-Tirmidhi, no. (3417), the wording is theirs, Sunan Abi Dawud, no. (5049).
Another hadith of al-Bukhari has these words: “بِاسْمِكَ اللّٰهُمَّ اَمُوْتُ وَاَحْيَا” [Sahih al-Bukhari, no. 6324].
The author quoted these words, but in view of most narrations we have given the words above, which are in Sahih al-Bukhari itself in two places.
