There is no deity worthy of…

Dua 2

There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, alone. He has no partner; His is the dominion and His is all praise, and He has full power over all things. All praise is for Allah. And glory be to Allah. And there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and Allah is the Greatest, and there is no strength (to avoid evil) nor power (to do good) except through Allah. O Allah! Forgive me.

  1. Sahih al-Bukhari, no. (1154), the wording is his, Sunan Abi Dawud, no. (5060), Sunan at-Tirmidhi, no. (3414), Sunan Ibn Majah, no. (3818). The wording of the original book did not fully match any narration, so we have given the wording of al-Bukhari. Al-Bukhari's narration goes on: at the end he says “اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِيْ” (O Allah, forgive me), or makes any supplication, and his supplication will be answered; and if after that he performs ablution and prays, his prayer will be accepted.
