Supplication of one fasting voluntarily who does not accept an invitation

Allah's Messenger ﷺ said: “When any of you is invited (to a meal), he should accept. If he is fasting, he should supplicate, and if he is not fasting, he should eat” (فَلْيُصَلِّ means “he should supplicate”)
