Supplication for protection from the plots of rebellious devils

Dua 1

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah the Most High, which no righteous or wicked person can pass beyond, from the evil of what He has created, spread and brought into being; from the evil of what descends from the sky and the evil of what ascends into it; from the evil of what He has spread on the earth and the evil of what comes out of it; from the evil of the trials of night and day; and from the evil of every night visitor, except a night visitor who comes with good, O Most Merciful.

The reciter says “wa bara-a wa dhara-a” instead of “wa dhara-a wa bara-a”; the two words are swapped.

  1. Hasan, Musnad Ahmad (3/419), Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, ed. ash-Shathri, no. (31601), 'Amal al-Yawm wa al-Laylah of Ibn as-Sunni, ed. al-Barni, no. (637), and al-Albani graded it Hasan in “as-Sahihah” no. (2995).

The author's book has “وَبَرَأَ وَذَرَأَ”, whereas Musnad Ahmad and others do not have this order, so we have given the words according to Musnad Ahmad and others.
